Week 3: Even if.
Habakkuk
In the final chapter of Habakkuk, the prophet responds to God’s Word to him in prayer, by time in God’s Word, and then in worship. He reaches a place, in the midst of his circumstance, in light of a revelation of God’s faithfulness and provision, of saying: “even if what I’m hoping doesn’t happen happens, still I will praise you. Still I will rejoice in the Lord”.
It’s not an easy or blind faith. It’s robust and vigorous. It comes out of the wrestle and the embrace and out of God’s Word. And it invites all who seek God to join in praising Him.
