Week 5: The Glad Ox
In the last week of our series on horses, we answer the question: ‘๐๐ผ๐ ๐ฑ๐ผ๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ ๐บ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ ๐ณ๐ผ๐น๐น๐ผ๐ ๐๐ถ๐บ?’
We’re aware of the very loose connection between the horse and the ‘Glad Ox’ (occasionally a similar colour, roughly the same size), but the ox is used in scripture to reflect our faithfulness. The ox is yoked to the Master. It seeks the Master for direction. It doesnโt contemplate its own will as much as it does that of the Masterโs will for the ox. And yet, in all of that, the Ox is satisfied and glad in this because the Ox knows that the Master is good.
We look at the easy yolk that the Master offers for us to take on.
